Nightwind and Warren did not know that Xaron had been on that world, or that Brenhani was once Dreal. Perhaps things would have worked out quite a bit differently if they'd known. Xaron was Warren's twin, and they had enjoyed an exceptionally close relationship until Dreal interceded, angering Warren beyond all reasoning. Warren punished Xaron and Dreal by casting them out of the world they all lived on. This led to Xaron and Dreal's wanderings together in the first place, Xaron's insanity and Dreal's fight with Xaron that brought her to Kerri and made her shift to wolf-form. Aside from being blood related to Dreal, Nightwind had little enough to do with any of that. But Warren, and Warren's memories, were in Nightwind's head, so Nightwind knew who Xaron and Dreal were. No one knew who Brenhani was, however.
