Lupei and Amethyst recovered Nightwind's body, and Lupei set up another magical holding place for yet another comatose leader, in the hope that the soul would return and the body recover. This time the body was placed in the small den in the cliff face where Nightwind awoke in this world and entombed there.

Xaron had gotten what he had come for, and while he was never known to do half the job of tearing a world apart, he lost most of his motivation to tear Kerri apart and slaughter the Sidhe. Having met Warren here was a shock to him, something entirely unsuspected. To meet Warren and then exile him was an even sweeter revenge; the resentment it helped to cleanse was far older than the revenge he had taken on Dreal for having abandoned him. He went off, leaving his army standing orders to continue to attack Kerri, but his heart was no longer in the battle, he needed time to contemplate what had happened, and for Xaron's people that might mean a few thousand years.
