So it came to pass that the elves of Kerri recognized a queen for their throne from amongst the Sidhe, and her name was Drendel or Sunbreeze. She managed affairs of state, trade with neighboring countries, and ensured that if there were troubles there would be a single figurehead to look after the people. Her reign was peaceful for a thousand years. One would hardly have thought of her as a queen, perhaps she was just a businesswoman with a great love of her people. Perhaps she was a healer, a mentor, a teacher, a mother, or a figurehead. There was no need to exercise power. There was no need to harbor gold. She was a figurehead, indeed. Much freedom came in these times of peace for the lovely queen, and she was comfortable and was able to make very brief visits Between as long as Kerri was safe.
