Delegating to a Virtual Assistant Brainstorming Session
Delegating to a Virtual Assistant Brainstorming Session
If I want it done right...!
I have to tell you, I'm a total control freak. However, I did spend time as manager and general manager at a retail store, where I got to know and train my staff and learned to delegate to their strengths. Knowing what I was best at, versus what others were better at than I was was the key to survival when I was managing everything.
In small business, we're managing everything. Us home-based business owners don't just order lunch, we have to cook it, and clean up after, and do the shopping -- and I didn't even get to doing work yet! Not only are there piles on our desk, but those tumbleweed-sized dust bunnies lurking under our desk are our responsibility too.
It's easy to get overwhelmed, and to "forget" to do things -- something "always has to lose", right?
Wrong! We do have a choice!! We can fight back!!
Let's talk about getting help. Whether it's an online faceless, nameless service like FancyHands or TimeSavrs, or a lovely local business like Peace of Mind Assistants or DayBreak Office Solutions, you can shake off the chains of business oppression and get the relief -- and expertise -- you need to finally get out the broom to sweep under the desk. Or the income to hire a housekeeper, too.

- Scripting and training
- Lather, rinse, repeat...ing tasks (automation)
How it works
While participants will have a good bit of influence on the direction of the session, I'm expecting that we will work together to brainstorm on delegation, share ideas, lodge vocal complaints and gripe about giving up control, come up with an action plan, discuss how to train our VAs, come up with ideas for things we do -- and things we SHOULD be doing -- that can be delegated. We'll also talk about automation and tools that can help you delegate tasks on a periodic basis without having to do anything new.
Are you a Virtual Assistant?
I'd love to compile a list of local virtual assistant services, so please feel free to email me (form below) and I'll put your name on a list I can talk to people at during the event. Let me know your strengths and specialties, too.
Please come prepared with your biggest burning need for the session. That will be what influences our direction.
Sessions are 2 hours each. Special Introductory price of $70/person, (regularly $97 per session), prepaid. Space in the session is limited. Due to limited space and needing to avoid having more than one person in the same industry in the room at the same time, pre-payment is required.
